Last March 20, “Jon Santos Live in Persons” has conquered Dagupenos with its unstoppable hilarious comedy antics.  It was fun from start to finish as audience was up to their feet and laughter was all around the Justin Hall of Leisure Coast Resort.  Jon Santos, indeed, has perfected the ability to connect effectively to his fans whenever he portrays a character of his choice.  There was not a single boring moment during the concert as video clips of him alternately shown without losing the momentum of mirth while preparing for his next character. Among the characters he spoofed are: Nanay Dionisia, Syerap, Ate Vi, and Armida Siguion Reyna.

Curtain raiser, IL BiBO, a quintet male singers led by SBRP President Dr. Boc Bonifacio surprised everyone with their powerful blended voices singing medleys of popular OPM tunes and philippine folk songs.  It was the first time the group performed live in public.  Aside from President Boc, other members of IL BIBO are: Dr. Orly Del Rosario, Dr. Larry Sarito, Dr. Ronnie Maramba and Dr. Marlon Rebosa.

Before the start of the program, presidents of sponsoring organizations; the Samahang Bangko Rural Ng Pangasinan, Philippine College of Surgeons Northern Luzon Chapter, Pangasinan Medical Society and Vivencio Villaflor Memorial Foundation delivered their piece of gratitude to the crowd for supporting the cause of the concert.

The proceeds of the show will provide continuity to the scholarship program of the SBRP and the joint surgical or medical mission of the groups. The show certainly provided a respite from the hectic schedules of SBRP members and the rest of the attendees..

SBRP SPEARHEADS JON SANTOS SHOW

The Samahang Bangko Rural ng Pangasinan (SBRP) together with the Pangasinan Medical Society, the Philippine College of Surgeons-North Luzon Chapter and the Dr. Vivencio V. Villaflor Sr. Medical Foundation will be sponsoring a fundraiser featuring famous comedian Jon Santos on March 20, 2010 (Saturday) at the Leisure Coast Resort, Bonuan Binloc, Dagupan City.  Cocktails shall start at 6:30pm and the show shall promptly begin at 8:30pm.  Dubbed "Jon Santos in Dagupan - Live in Person(s)", the event is primarily organized to benefit the SBRP scholars and the Klinik ng Bayan.

Tickets costing P1,500 are on a first-come-first-served basis only.  Tickets are available at the Pangasinan Medical Society Building (Tel No 515-4510), BHF Bank (522-9079), BHF Family Plaza (522-8939) and at the Villaflor Hospital Information Center (522-7630).
